As a Steward of the Birth Space, it is my sacred privilege to hold true to these pillars of birth. Our ancestors knew this, and our blood and bones to hold the keys to this powerful transformational Rite. When a woman knows and trusts her body, it is my belief that little to no intervention is needed to safely bring her baby into the world. When a woman is held in a loving and cared for way throughout her pregnancy, and is properly resourced at the time of birth, she is in her full power and prepared for the initiation. It is the role of the support team to be prepared to hold her, trust her, listen to her, and be ready to assist her when the need arises.
Services
Carrying forward the work of those have left a legacy of trust in a woman's innate ability to traverse the depths of her unique experience in pregnancy, labour, birth, and postpartum, my approach is different than most Birth Doula's. I believe when a woman has tended to her own sense of autonomy and inner knowing during her pregnancy, she is able to drop into a vast well of guidance and intuition in the birth space.
All she really needs is an anchor to hold this container for her and her partner.

On call from 37 weeks to whenever the birth begins

How far along in pregnancy should I be when hiring a birth keepr/doula?
The earlier the better! Building a relationship based on transparency and trust takes time, and this is important in me being able to serve you to the best of my abilities.

Do you serve woman in hospitals?
I am aligned with serving woman dedicated to birthing in a physiologic way. This is much harder in a hospital setting but not impossible. We will meet and assess if I can be of service in supporting a physiologic birth in whatever seting the mother feels most comfortable in.

Do you deliver babies?
No, I am not a midwife or birth attendant. But I do believe its the mothers/fathers role to "deliver" their baby in a physiological birth, when all goes to plan.

How hands on are you in the birth?
The support I offer is based off what allows the mother to surrender to the altered state of birth. Sometimes that means hands on care like message, comforting contact. But often it looks like sitting and watching for subtle shifts in the energy and attuning to what is needed to go deeper.

I understands the importance of altered states during the birthing process. My approach takes into account the profound implications of achieving a beta to delta state, including the ability to communicate with your baby and tap into the primal wisdom that birth has to offer. I provide mothers with the safety and warmth necessary to explore these changes, and to trust in the process of their unique journey. Rite of Passage
I honour the sacredness of the maiden to mother transition and the transformative power it holds. As a shamanic doula, my support is designed to guide women through the threshold of birth and into the realm of motherhood, with deep reverence for the blood mysteries and the alchemy of life. My ritual approach to birth preparation, labor support, and postpartum care offers a holistic and empowering experience that supports women in connecting to their true selves and the wisdom of their bodies.
Ancestral Body
I believe in the power of ancestral knowledge and the innate wisdom of the female body. As a shamanic doula , I provide guidance and support to women seeking a connection to their ancestral DNA and the physiological birth experience. Trust in the wisdom of our ancient grandmothers and the sacred design of your body by choosing Woven Birth as your partner in this journey.
The Weft
The threads that make up the Weft (or Story) or Your Birth.
When we consciously build the warp with principals of integrity and truth, the Weft truly weaves itself. This is the part of the birth that weaves itself.
The integration of the weaving of your birth is where I offer my support and care. Witnessing the beauty of your woven birth is a high honour, and I hold it with care and reverence, no matter the outcome.
